Edpa Kimya was founded in March 1990 to import and distribute dyes for the growing Turkish textile industry. The Company's main shareholders are; Akin Holding, Feza Holding, H? Koc, Ibrahim Celebi and Hasan Esen. The remaining shares of the akin family and other private individuals.

Initially Edpa Kimya imported reactive cotton dyes .Later it extended its product range through agency agreements with Lucky Specialty Chemicals (Korea) for disperse polyester dyes; Industrial Corporation (Taiwan) for basic acrylic dyes; Chika Overseas Ltd. (India) for reactive cotton dyes; and Sinochem (China) for basic acrylic dyes. Today Edpa Kimya is the leading textile dye importer in Turkey, importing both a larger volume and a greater variety of dyes than any other company.

Edpa Kimya has recently added leather dyes to its product portfolio and is already among the leading suppliers of imported dyes to the Turkish leather industry.
