Interser was founded in 1984 by AKIN Holding and private investors as a customs clearing agency as well as to operate as a travel agency and to undertake the investment and management of touristic facilities.

In 1987 Interser began to concentrate exclusively on Turkey's booming tourism sector. The company purchased 9910 square meters of prime land on the Bosphorus near Uskudar, on the Asian side of Istanbul with plans to build a hotel.The property is located in one of the city's most historical section and includes a historical ottoman building. It has an excellent view of the Bosphorus with excellent transportation links to the rest of the city.

Prepetory work for the development of the site has already been completed and the company is currently investigating the possibility of forming a joint venture with an international company to build a luxry hotel.
