Aktek Giyim was established in 1995 by Akin Tekstil, Akin Holding, Haydar Akin Holding, the Akin family and other private individuals, to market the JIB DOOR line of sports and casual wear, a brand created by Aktek Giyim itself.

Aktek Giyim sources 80 percent of the fabric used in its clothes from Akin Tekstil, using the same cotton fabrics as Akin Tekstil uses for lines manufactured for Marlboro Classic, Camel and Marks & Spencer. The Company contracts out all of its manufacturing, 40 percent of which goes to Akin Tekstil.
Despite being a relatively newcomer, JIb DOOR 's combination of boldness, vitally and comfort has ensured that it has quickly established itself in local and international markets; while Aktek Giyim's young creative team has been widely praised for the dynamism and individualism of their designs. JIB DOOR is currently sold through over 70 retail outlets in Turkey and has already penetrated the Norwegian, German, British and Russian markets.
