Edpa Five Star was established in 1993 to take advantage of the opportunities in the emerging markets in the former Soviet Union, concentrating particularly on investments in the textile sector in the Turkish Republics of Central Asia.

The Company is owned by Akin Holding, Edpa Pazarlama, Nuri Akin, Hasan Arat and Hifzi Arat.It has already established contacts and identified opportunities in several of the Turkish Republics, combining locally sourced raw materials with experienced manpower, technology and know-how from Turkey and input goods, such as dyes, imported from Europe.

Edpa Five Star is currently negotiating with government authorities in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with a view to building joint venture and turn-key textile and ready-wear project targeting sales to both local and international markets.
